Things to be Thankful for

I was just thinking, that I don't dedicate as much time to say thank you to all the people I am truly thankful for and all the things I am grateful for so here is my list, have you created yours, if so, please let us know we love hearing from you all.

[1] I am thankful for my Family

I've been blessed with a very loving husband, Marc. Three brothers and a sister - who I am very close to even through we are now separated by "The large pond" otherwise known as the Atlantic Ocean and 5 hours time difference. Along with my siblings I have a large extended family that reside in London, Europe, The States and the Caribbean, family keeps you grounded and remind you that you are part of a bigger picture - they are all a true blessing and welcome to little Morgan my newest nephew.

[2] My Gifts and Talents

Hmmn, Ok, just so you know there are some things that I have no talent for, I cannot sing period - holding a tune isn't so much the problem as actually hitting a tune at all! I am thankful that I am and have always been quite athletic, first running track until my mid twenties, then becoming a yoga enthusiast, my latest sporting ventures are golf - obsessed with the game, and tennis which gives me one heck of a work out.
I've also been told that I'm a pretty good cook - I'm sure my husband is also grateful for that!

[3] My Friends

Goodness, I have truly been blessed with the many friendships in my life... some are friends in constant day to day contact, others I may only actually speak to once a year, and we pick right up without missing a beat.
They are all so unique and different it's great - so to all my friends - I truly love you all and am grateful for you allowing me to be in your life.

[4] My Work

I love what I do, really, jewelry is a wonderful world and I meet some extraordinary people, whether they are customers, designers, wholesalers or technical techies. So whilst this isn't as important as say being a nurse, it truly is wonderful when someone light's up at the prospect of receiving or to hear the response they received from giving one of our jewelry pieces to a loved one - after all that's what it's all about, marking an occasion or just saying Thank You to someone you care about or blessing yourself. So yes, I am grateful that I am in a business that creates smiles. :) It is also the reason we chose the name Jewelry To Adore - we adore what we do.
This is also one of the reasons that we are donating 10% of this years sales to the National Partnership for Women & Families as we believe in giving back.

[5] God

Lastly, but by no means least - I am Thankful to God, for with him all things are possible. He listens to my doubts, my fears and my worries and blesses me and still loves me anyway. So Thank You to God - who has a purpose for each and everyone of us!

Why Pearl Jewelry Rocks!

Maybe, it's because they aren't !! What I hear you say, well Pearls are produced by a mollusk - therefore unlike so many other precious gems there not a rock!

OK, so that may help answer some of the many questions we've been receiving about Pearls, such as - why are Tahitian Pearls blue?, - what does Cultured Pearls mean?, - what difference does pearl size make?, what is nacre? and so many more to answer these questions we would point you to our Pearl Knowledge Base (www.jewelrytoadore.com, then go to Jewelry Education) which we are building to an even more comprehensive guide over the next few weeks.

Do keep checking in and hopefully we will answer some of the questions you may have regarding pearls, if not, you know you can always drop us a line, either here or at www.jewelrytoadore.com
