This years Emmy Awards proved just as awesome as ever, with the ladies really showing of some wonderful gowns and fabulous Bling - and managing to look cool in the 90 degree heat too.

Holmes & Yang Debut at "the tents" Lincoln Center NY

So it's all over Holmes & Yang had their first show at "the tents" Lincoln Center, NY.

They've received mixed reviews for the 14 looks from their 2013 line, but they did the show their way, with the models standing still and people walking around them to view the clothes!

We wish Holmes & Yang well as the line grows, it's great to see clothes that real women can wear and look fabulous in.

NY Fashion Week - Katie Holmes and Jeanne Yang debut

NY Fashion week - we love you!!!

It's always great seeing all the fashion this show has to offer, and increasingly, celebrities are getting more and more involved backstage, no sitting on the front row for these ladies.

Some of the designs were looking forward to seeing are Victoria Beckhams new line - her designs can be worn by people leading somewhat normal lives so bring it on Vicky.

Along with Victoria there is the Olsen sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley with their fashion line - The Row, and a plethora of stars now staring backstage as well as front and center take Gwen Stefani, Jessica Simpson and now Katie Holmes joined by Jeanne Yang - can't wait to see their line at this years NY Fashion Week.

According to Susan Kaufman, editor in chief of People StyleWatch, she says "The lines that are successful are very authentic," which pretty much is the philosophy of Holmes and Yang.

Unwanted pearl earrings which sat in a drawer for 35 years treble their estimate price and sell for £1.6million

This pair of pearl earrings that were locked away in a drawer for 35 years because their owner thought they were too garish have sold for a staggering £1.6million at auction.
The jewels had been a gift from an exiled Romanian King to his mistress, who left them to a British woman friend in Wiltshire upon her death in 1977.
The unnamed woman had no idea of their worth so she discarded them in the back of a desk drawer for years as the oversized jewels were not to her taste.

Well last night was the 84th Oscars, the little Gold Man that all actors and actresses aspire to holding.

It's always great to watch the stars turn out, their style and of course who won what.

Oh Valentine - Be Thine

This Tuesday, is Valentine's Day, 

February 14th, a holiday celebrated every year.

Well it started out as Saint Valentine's Day and shortened to Valentine's Day, a holiday which started it's beginning as honoring early Christian martyrs - Saint Valentine.

LeBron popped the question to long time girlfriend Savannah at a celebratory dinner at SL Nightclub at the Shelborne hotel in South Beach, co-hosted by his Heat team mate Dwyane Wade and his girlfriend Gabrielle Union an event attended by 60 or so friends, family and celebrites.

We haven't heard of a date for the wedding yet, but will let you know when we do.

Garnets - The Fiery Red Gemstone of January
